Scania 770 S 4×2
History & Significance
New for 2025, this recreates the Scania 770 S 4×2 tractor unit — Scania’s top-grade “S Series” flagship, powered in real life by a 16.4-litre V8 turbo diesel producing 770hp, added to the range in 2020. It extends Tamiya’s long-running 1/14 tractor-truck series to Scania’s current top-spec highway tractor.
Chassis Engineering
Single front-steering axle, single rear-drive axle (4×2) layout, with motor and 3-speed gearbox mounted at the front of the chassis; gear changes are controlled via a separately-sold 4-channel transmitter. Includes detailed accessory parts — roof light bar, horns, bull bar, side bars — and an interior with dashboard and seats, compatible with Tamiya’s optional Multi-Function Control Unit for lights, sound and vibration.

No known re-release of this specific kit number — it is a new-for-2025 kit within the broader Scania 770 S family, which also includes the 8×4/4 Gun Metal Edition.
