FANTOM EP 4WD Ext Gold 60th Anniversary Limited
History & Significance
The original Fantom EP-4WD debuted in 1983, with the “Ext” (extended) version following in 1985; both achieved strong results at Japanese championships, and the ladder-chain 4WD system was considered influential in 1/12 EP pan car racing at the time. The 2023 gold edition commemorates Kyosho’s 60th anniversary.
Chassis Engineering
A 1/12-scale 4WD electric pan car using a 3-point suspension system combined with a ladder-chain 4WD drivetrain. The 60th-anniversary edition gold-anodises all aluminium parts and adds a rear ball differential — not available on the 1985 original — paired with a thicker 6mm lightweight carbon driveshaft; tyres come pre-glued and pre-trued.
