History & Significance
Models Volvo Trucks’ FH16 flagship — significantly redesigned in a 2012 model change — in its top “Globetrotter XL” cab trim with a 750hp engine, representing Volvo’s most premium long-haul highway tractor configuration.
Chassis Engineering
Rear-axle-drive 4×2 metal ladder-frame chassis with motor and 3-speed transmission mounted at the front, shiftable via a separately-sold 4-channel transmitter. The cab is precision injection-moulded with photo-etched parts recreating the distinctive Volvo front grille; includes customisation parts (roof bar with light pods, low bar, side bars) and a 1/14 driver figure.
Variants & Re-releases
No known re-release of this specific kit number. It has been offered in both factory-painted and unpainted “Semi Kit” versions through retailers — a packaging distinction rather than a historical re-release.
