Scania 770 S 8×4/4 Gun Metal Edition
History & Significance
Released 7 December 2024, modelling the Scania 770 S in its heaviest 8×4/4 configuration — double-axle drive at the rear, double-axle steering at the front — the newest, heaviest-class tractor head in Scania’s Next Generation range, added in 2020 with a 770hp V8. The Gun Metal Edition ships with a factory pre-painted body.
Chassis Engineering
Metal ladder-frame chassis with double rear-axle drive and double front-axle steering, motor and transmission mounted at the front. Suspension uses metal leaf springs, including a lift axle that can be manually raised and lowered like the real truck’s mechanism. A 3-speed gearbox is shiftable via a separately-sold 4-channel transmitter.

This “Gun Metal Edition” is a specific colour/finish variant within the broader Scania 770 S 8×4/4 kit family; no separate re-release beyond this is documented.
